I will be presenting the following workshops during March and April 2019
- Scholarship Workshop on “Scholarship of Teaching and Learning” (Location: Academic Building 209, March 15th, 9 – 11:30am)
- Teaching Workshop on “Overcoming Apathy in the classroom”. The same workshop will be presented at the following dates and times. Please pick one that suits you. This workshop is open for full-time and part-time faculty:March 21st (Thursday) – 2:30pm – 3:30pm OR April 2nd (Tuesday) – 4:30pm – 5:30pm. Both workshops will be held at N-227.
- Assessment workshop on April 12th (Location TBD)

I will serving as part of the First Year Learning Community (FYLC) leadership team along with Jennifer Sears and Karen Goodlad for AY 2018-2019. A curricular Learning Community is a group of students who co-enroll in two or more courses, generally in different disciplines that are linked together by a common theme, in an academic semester. Learning Communities is one of the ten high-impact educational practices recognized nationally to improve student persistence using data from assessment to increase retention. FYLCs provide an opportunity for students to begin their college experience with other students who share similar interests and career objectives. I am happy to announce that i will be serving as the Chair Elect of the American Society for Engineering Education (ASEE) Mid-Atlantic Section for 2018-2019 academic year. The list of officers can be found here.
The Fall conference will be held at Brooklyn Technical High School on Oct 26-27th 2018. The submission deadline for the conference is Sept 1st. More details on the conference can be found here.

I am happy to announce that i was elected as the Vice Chair of the American Society for Engineering Education (ASEE) Mid-Atlantic Section. I will taking on the new role starting June 1st, 2017.
I am now a member of the Doctoral Faculty of The Graduate School and University Center’s PhD Program in Computer Science. If you are interested in doing research in Big Data Analytics or Data Mining (Sampling and Filtering Massive datasets), please shoot me an email.
I will be teaching “Information Retrieval” course in Fall 2017.
